Excellence in Student Mentoring and Advising

Criteria: This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated excellence in the mentorship and advising of undergraduate students to be successful in their field. This can involve one or more of the following:

  • Excellence in academic advising
  • Excellence in mentorship of students

To be eligible for this award, individuals who advise many students or mentor students in scholarly research or other creative activity must also demonstrate a more holistic approach towards the mentorship of students.

Nomination: Faculty may be nominated by a faculty or staff member or a student (current or former). A completed nomination form should include basic information about the nominator and nominee, as well as a paragraph of up to 500 words describing the nominee’s exceptional record of student mentoring and advising.
